The Indian Pacific Express, sometimes referred to as simply the Indian Pacific, is a luxury train service that runs through the southern half of Australia, from Sydney to Perth. The service was first established in 1970 and is operated by the Great Southern Rail.
The journey covers a distance of 4,352 kilometers (2,703 miles), and takes around four days to complete. It passes through some of the most stunning and rugged scenery of the Australian interior, including the Blue Mountains, the Nullarbor Plain, and the Western Australian wheat belt.
The train offers a range of onboard accommodation including gold class, which includes private cabins, ensuite facilities, and all meals and drinks included. There are also platinum class cabins available, which offer more space and luxury, as well as additional amenities such as a private lounge and bar.
The Indian Pacific is one of the most iconic train journeys in the world and is a popular choice for tourists looking to explore the vast and beautiful Australian outback.
